Modern travellers are no longer simply looking for places to visit, places to go, but for meaningful and authentic experiences that enrich their holidays and, why not, their lives.
The traveller, that is, no longer wants to be a mere passive spectator, but wants to play an active role as a protagonist of his journey, enjoying unique experiences, often outside the standardised schemes of mass tourism.
To meet this new tourism need, the figures of the Destination Manager and the Experiential Tourism Operator play a key role. On the one hand, the Destination Manager is in charge of analysing the tourism development opportunities of a place, creating an operational network capable of welcoming and managing the needs of travellers; on the other hand, the Experiential Tourism Operator improves the destination's tourism offer, creating packages that propose authentic and memorable experiences. The objective is to immerse tourists in the local culture of a non-mainstream destination, with a keen eye on the sustainable development of the destinations, acting with respect for the local environment and society.
This specialisation course is aimed at those working in the tourism sector who want to acquire specific skills to become the author of amazing trips, specifically developing the art and technique of creating unique experiences for travellers, also using the new marketing and social communication tools to inspire and engage travellers, making them the true protagonists of the travel experience.
