DO YOU WANT TO BE A TOUR LEADER?

The Tour Leader is the person who, by profession, takes care of welcoming and accompanying groups of people on trips, either domestically or abroad. This tourism professional takes care of every detail of the tourist package arranged by the tour operators and provides qualified and complete assistance to tourists, providing them with all the necessary information, in their mother tongue.

Who is it addressed to?

The IET Tour Leader online course aims to train experienced professionals in incoming and outgoing tourism, who are able to manage groups of Italian or foreign tourists in the perfect implementation of the pre-established travel programme.

Teaching programme:

  • The Role of the Tour Leader (pre-during-post trip)
  • The tourist package: goods and services included, supplements, extras
  • The tourist activity, type of destination, type of trip
  • Production and planning of tourist itineraries
  • The on-site inspection and partners
  • Study of the destination, the travelogue, guidebooks
  • The agreements, bookings and documentation of the tour operator
  • Group knowledge and management
  • Report and post-trip processing
  • Autonomy, assistance and emergency management

The training project

Propaedeutic phase

Study of preparatory texts provided by the European Tourism Institute;
3-month Gofluent English language course 'all you can learn' formula. If you already have at least a self-certified B2 level of English, you can choose another of the following languages: French, Spanish, German, Chinese (Mandarin), Portuguese (Brazilian), Dutch, Russian and Italian;
Safety at work course (Legislative Decree 81/08) on FAD platform for the duration of 8 hours of General Training + Low Risk, with relative issue of certificate.

Full-time classroom phase

Online lessons: 32 hours

Workshop: 24 hours
Exercises, simulations and mid-term tests.
